Brian Rowney couldn't quite believe his luck when he won the big Fish 4 5k final at Water Meadows Fishery.
The 75-year-old from Cuckney, who fishes for Mansfield Piscatorials and his son's Maggot Man in Warsop, weighed 73lb of quality carp on worm from peg 58.
Brian, who qualified through the veterans match, caught steadily feeding close to the right-hand bank.
He was run close by John Kelly with 66-10 at peg 44, while Trentmen star Adrian Higginbottom took third with 54-7 at peg 54.
Most of the better weights came from the bottom end as the anglers suffered in the baking heat.
A big congratulations to Brian.
